"Tale" Rescheduled
We've got beautiful fall weather now, but the river flow is still too high to play on the water.... so Tale of the Channel has been rescheduled for next Saturday, November 11th. Mina is organizing the potluck feast afterwards; please let her know directly or post here about your contribution to the feast.
After the Tale shenanigans and filling up on the great food, head on over to the Lambert Boathouse for a talk from sports psychologist Carole Kunkel-Miller , from 12:30 PM to 2 PM, on how to stay motivated for strong training during the winter!

From Rick Brown, Head Coach at TRRA:
Hi all,
I wanted to let you know that we have a Sports Psychologist coming on Saturday, November 11th to give a lecture about how to stay motivated for and during winter training as well as how to balance everything in your life to reach goals at the boathouse and on the water.
This will be a great lecture as we gear up for our land training part of the year (also known as the winter). Carole has some pretty great credentials and has worked with a lot of impressive individuals and teams. She’ll speak to both athletes and coaches so please bring your teams along!
A link to Carole’s bio can be found here:

The lecture will run from about 12:30 to 1:30 and questions from about 1:30-2:00.
Please feel free to forward this on to whomever you think might be interested.
Hope to see you all there.
If you have any questions, let me know.
Thanks,
Rick
