Reminder: Red Fin Blues

Tomorrow's practice is a paddle to Red Fin Blues on Washington's Landing: please dress warmly in layers.

The city is absolutely gorgeous from the water at night, so if you have a waterproof camera or are willing to live dangerously with your regular camera, this is a great chance to get some beautiful pictures on our paddle back to the docks!

If the water/weather conditions don't allow us to paddle over there, we'll meet and decide whether to run/walk over to the island or just get back in our cars and head directly over to the island! Right now (Tuesday morning), the flow is at 57K, and we would need to have it reduced considerably to take the boat out. So we'll get to Red Fin Blues somehow: by foot, by boat, by bike, by auto!

Stay tuned.....

Hmmm..... It's about 8:30 AM, and the water flow is still over 55K, so things are not looking good for a paddle tonight. Laurie will send out an alert this afternoon on where to meet.

Note from Cap'n Laurie:

Practice Tonight (Wednesday)

Since the water flow is still way too high (54,000) we will not be going out on the water. We do intend, however, to exercise our elbows by heading over to Red Fin Blues. We can congregate over there around 7:00 or 7:30, some may want to park at Millvale and take a dark walk over and back to RFB’s, some may want to park near RFB’s and take a jog around Washington’s Landing before going to RFB’s, some may want to do a quick workout at the Lambert Boathouse first and others may want to go directly to Red Fin Blues. Whatever your pleasure, I hope to see you there. Laurie B.
