Hold The Date!
Please hold Friday, July 22nd, on your calendars for a potential fundraising party at the Washington's Landing boat house for our World Championship paddlers. Plans and details have yet to be worked out, but you don't want to miss this one!
And a note on practice tomorrow night: we're going to hold off on The Big Boat Flip until Bob is back in town. It just wouldn't be the same without him! So yes, we have practice tomorrow, but no, we're not flipping the boat at this one.

And while you're looking at your calendar: would you please let me know when you will NOT be in Pittsburgh this summer for practice or available for competitions if we decide to travel again? We've got about 9 more weeks of summer left, between July 4 and Labor Day.
We may hold off on the marathon paddle until October (not August) -- will keep everyone posted on this as things develop.
I'm working on setting up a scrimmage with Steel City the week of July 11th -- maybe Wednesday or Thursday. If you already know you definitely canNOT make one of those days, please let me know soon.

Another update -- the Berlin Fundraising Party has been canceled in favor of a direct-appeal approach. There will be a picnic/party AFTER Berlin to thank all of the folks who donated when appealed to!
