Greetings from John of Wasabi

John Worcester, our friend from Portland's Wasabi team, sent the photo above. These are the "tugboats" the Wasabi team uses in lieu of tire drills!

The boats weigh 2500 pounds and take 16 paddlers, who use paddles larger than our regular paddles.

Can't you just see Carolyn and Jonathan as flag catchers?

That picture bears a remarkable similarity to a dream I had last week!

So, yeah, I'm totally up for leaning precariously off the front end of a boat ;)
That said, Carolyn probably has a slight (100lb?!) weight advantage over me, so maybe you'd be better off with Ada???...

You know, our expectations are high. You and Jonathan have to be able to catch the flags while doing a handstand and/or as last bit of a cartwheel from the stroke seat.

and that's a one-handed cartwheel, with a round-out finish and sumasult off the dragon head, right, Kit?!

Jonathan, I think you'd give Carolyn a little competition in the flag-catching category...I had so much fun that I did it twice when we went to Portland two years ago. Of course, I sense Carolyn would have the style points covered with the gymnastic finish... ;-)
